The one-handed operation of this circular saw makes it easy to control. The depth of cuts is easy to adjust, and the marks are accurate too. The ergonomic design makes hand position comfortable and easy to control. Excellent accuracy and good precision.
It’s roughly the same weight as the DeWalt. The feel of this is very high quality. The stock blade is easy to install and operate. It has a quiet operation too. Furthermore, the included stock blade is nice and sharp.
The depth adjustment mechanism is easy to make depth adjustments. Lines up with the mark on the shoe for accurate cuts. And the lock release is easy to reach as well. Easy to change blades. The rip fence is also easy to use, and it can be adjusted using the included wrench that is on the cord of this saw. The ergonomic grip handle makes it comfortable to hold and easy to control as well. The overall build quality just feels good.
Skil 5280 15 Amp Circular Saw

This is a remarkable corded circular saw from Skil. It has a nice compact size which makes for smooth cuts. It’s pretty lightweight, but it isn’t the lightest model out there. It comes with a laser guide that ensures that your cuts are straight and precise.
It’s fun to use and the high-quality blade makes precise cuts. The ergonomic grip makes it easy to handle and operate with one hand. The only significant issues were the length of the power cord, and we found it to be too short, so we had to pull out an extension cord to get it to where we needed it. Other than that, it is excellent for powerful and accurate cuts.
The small compact, ergonomic design makes one-handed cuts easy. Compared to other models, this one lacks an electronic safety break. The depth adjustment mechanism is excellent, and there’s a built in-depth guide. The whole was easy to set up and assemble too. In addition, the price is affordable, and the depth adjustment mechanism is easy to control. Furthermore, we found it to be relatively lightweight; however, this isn’t the lightest of circular saws.
The laser guide is a nice value add, and we found it great for making sure the cut is on the line. The laser is super easy to see. The price is very affordable when compared to high-end saws, yet it still offers good performance, a high-quality blade, a powerful motor, an ergonomic design, a laser guide, and overall, it’s very smooth to operate.
The price-to-performance ratio, when compared to other circular saws, is excellent. It’s light too, but not the lightest circular saw we have reviewed. Overall though, it provides excellent value for the money.

One issue we had is the trigger button and safety button to turn it on, it’s a bit odd, but safe I guess. It came at a reasonable price and works just fine. The build quality feels good, and the laser guide makes for accurate cuts. It also comes with extra blades. To turn it on initially, you have to push both the safety and trigger, and it takes some time to get used to.
Very powerful and useful. It has a compact and small design, perfect for small woodshops or anywhere where you’re constricted by space. This circular saw has a long power cable, so no extension cord is needed for this one.

It cuts effortlessly and cuts exactly where it should. Very precise. It costs a bit more compared to other circular saws, but you can feel the high-quality build behind this Makita circular saw. Makita is a well-known brand for making high-quality power tools. The adjustments are easy to make for depth. It’s straightforward to use too and a very handy cordless saw. The ergonomic design is excellent for making angled cuts.
The bevel capacity of 57 degrees is great for increased precision on an angle. It’s a lightweight tool, and it’s very durable too. Comes with a nice long cord, so no need for an extension cord. Blades are easy to install and change. The blade wrench makes it easy to change/swap blades when needed. It’s effortless to use, and it has a nice case too. It’s pretty quiet too.
Makes smooth cuts, and the adjustment for angles and depth is easy to use. The stock blade makes for good cuts, it just glides through wood like it’s nothing.

Another great cordless saw from DeWALT is very powerful and powerful compares with a corded saw. The blade supplied is high-quality and suitable for carpentry work. The LED light is useful; however, it is poorly positioned when compared to other circular saws. A durable and powerful tool overall. It’s not quite as strong as the Dewalt FLEXVOLT model, but it is a great circular saw for the money.
The instant braking feature for immediate blade stop is a useful safety feature to have, but it takes a bit of time to get used to. The battery life is outstanding on the 20V battery.
It features a brushless motor design, which extends the life of the battery. We found it to be a very accurate tool. Also, we were surprised by how easy blade changes are. Just take the included wrench and pop the blade off. Very easy.
The powerful motor spins at 5800RPM for precise cuts. The batteries are interchangeable, so if you have a 20V already, no need to buy another battery. In our opinion, it will work well for both small and large jobs. It’s a powerful tool.
We recommend using a 5ah or 6ah battery. You will no longer need to stop in between jobs to recharge, nor will you have to switch batteries. Overall, it’s a very powerful saw, and the motor is a real beast in the shop.
Excellent value and performance, and it also come with a nice little DeWALT tool bag as well.
Rockwell RK3440K Versacut 4.0 Amp Ultra-Compact Circular Saw with Laser Guide

The powerful blade on this Rockwell Versacut circular saw makes for clean and straight cuts. It has a nice overall feel to it, and the ergonomic design makes it nice to hold and easy to control. Similar to the WORXSAW, this one also has a laser guide. It is very useful, and the laser guide makes for very accurate cuts.
The blade cuts clean and precise. It’s a good circular saw for many applications, the versatile design, and powerful motor, make it an excellent addition to any handyman’s toolbox. The plunge depth was accurate, but the trigger is odd compared to the other circular saws. It does take a bit of time to get used to. The stock blade cut through 3/4″ of pine with ease.
The blade is thin, allowing for perfect cuts and the blade depth stop is good. Overall very durable and the ergonomic design and weight of the tool make it easy to control. It’s a very balanced tool, and the laser guide makes for accurate cuts.
If you need to change the blade, then you can easily do so with the included wrench. Changing blades is useful when you need to change from a wood cutting to a metal cutting blade. The plunge feature is useful, and the depth settings are easy to manage. It comes with a large carry case which can fit a bunch of other tools as well. A nice value adds from Rockwell.
