Black and Decker BDCDD12C 12v Lithium-Ion Cordless Drill Review

We love the small and compact design of this drill. It will work great for light DIY tasks around the home. The included LED light is handy to have when drilling in dark places.

Has enough power for light screwing tasks and for drilling small holes. The torque adjustment feature is easy to use and a useful feature to have because it prevents stripping of screw heads.

It comes with a 12V MAX Lithium-Ion Rechargeable Battery and a fast battery charger. The battery life isn’t the best, but it will be plenty if you’re not drilling all day.

The lightweight and compact design make it portable. Even with the battery attached, it is still lightweight. Furthermore, the lightweight design makes it easy to control and handle. It would make for an excellent beginner drill, because of its lightweight design. A good choice if you want to get your kid started with DIY.

The included LED work light is a useful feature to have when you’re drilling in dark spots. One bad thing is the positioning of the LED light which makes it useless at certain angles.

We also found the chuck on this drill harder to tighten in comparison to other drills, but it shouldn’t be an issue for most people; however, if you have arthritis or some other condition then consider a different drill.

Overall, this is a light compact drill suitable for any small drilling/driving task you’ll encounter around the house. For extra assurance, this drill also comes with a 24-month Black and Decker warranty.
